Trafalgar SquareFor our ten year anniversary my wife and I took a weekend in London to cram as much of the city into a weekend as possible.  We saw the British Library, British Museum, Harrod's, the V&A, the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, St. Paul's, the Tate Modern and a show called Avenue Q in the West End.  Here's a link to some pics.

We got away to the Canary Islands to do nothing for a week just before Christmas this year. Must do nothing like this again soon. Here's a link to some of our favorite pics.

This weekend we made it down to North Wales for some castle hopping.  Here's a link to our pics from Caernarfon and Conwy castles. Wales is a beautiful country and just a few hours drive from Manchester. Why we hadn't made it down before now is a mystery, but it was another chance to be surprised by how much wonder and diversity is crammed onto this little island. I just realized that it's very difficult to tell the overview of what these castles look like from the pics we took, so here's a link to Caernarfon's website and Conwy's as well.

 

In September, 2006 I presented a paper at the European Society for Philosophy of Religion conference at the Evangelische Stift in Tuebingen. Tuebingen is the Cambridge of Germany, and on one of the days we were given a walking tour of the city. I had forgotten my digital camera so these were snapped with a disposable I picked up at a corner shop. It's taken a bit to get over to the local drugstore and have them developed. The first few are of the Evangelische Stift where we stayed, and then on to the old city itself, with the last few of the main church. Sehr schoen! Here's the link to the whole gallery.
